The stress distribution cloud from the initial to the final time step

The stress distribution cloud from the initial to the final time step (displacement=5mm) is plotted in Figure 4-6. With the pressing roller going down, the specimen is getting bending. The stress is concentrated on the upper and lower surfaces of the middle area of the specimen. The axial principal stress cloud is shown in Figure 4-7. As we can see, the stress of upper surface of the specimen is negative, which means that the elements in this area are subjected to compression stress. In contrast, the lower surface of the specimen is subjected to tension stress.
The displacement and reactive force of the pressing roller is output and compared with the experiment result in Figure 4-8. The numerical simulation result is close to the experiment result.
