Terrorism is the use of intentionally indiscriminate unlawful violence and intimidation, as a means to create terror among governments and masses of people, especially civilians in the pursuit of political aims and religious or ideological objectives.
Terrorism is today one of the main concerns around the world. The attack on the Twin Towers in America in 2011, the bombings in Madrid 2004 and London in 2005 raised serious concerns with governments all around the world, including Australia, who are now trying to tackle this problem by making and continually updating laws to protect us all.
Australia, with the exception of the Northern Territory, up until the September 11, 2001 attack on the Twin Towers in America did not have any anti-terrorism laws. Although
