INTRODUCTIONArtificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. The term is frequently applied to the project of developing systems endowed with the intellectual processes characteristic of humans, such as the ability to reason, discover meaning, generalize, or learn from experience. (Copeland, 2018, para.1). Artificial Intelligence research is considered the study of any device that has the ability to recognize its surrounding and maximize its chance of successfully achieving its goals. Artificial Intelligence is powerful because it can subjectively automate tasks that require human-level intelligence or beyond. Machines are convenient and can do tasks that we cannot do e.g. dangerous/hazardous works .EXECUTIVE SUMMARYThe main idea behind the growth of AI is creating systems that can perform tasks that would normally need human help. Development of the artificial intelligence gives us many benefits, the main ones among them are: faster work (both for actions and decisions), making easier many mundane tasks (it’s very helpful in their case and makes better general productivity of work, and gives people more time for completing creative tasks), reducing various risks in different types of work and reducing general amount of errors (people often make mistakes but computers don’t but only of course if they are well are programmed. The general exploration goal of artificial intelligence is to create technology that allows computers and machines to function in an intelligent manner. The general problem of simulating (or creating) intelligence has been broken down into sub-problems. These consist of particular traits or capabilities that researchers expect an intelligent system to display. The following traits have received the most attention. 1

CONCEPT BEHIND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCEArtificial intelligence is an area of computer that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans. Behaviors related to human intelligence seem of a distinct quality. In human thinking appears very different from other natural doings. An example is like when digesting one has no option about it. The food that you take in either way it has to be digested. The essence of the artificial intelligence is to make sure that ideas that represent and use knowledge explain the different types of intelligence.
Reasoning involves internal process that make one think about what might be the best way of acting before moving to act. Artificial intelligence has caused many misunderstandings and false expectations. AI understands intelligence by becoming able to produce effects of intelligence like the understanding of intelligent behavior. The aim of AI is not to build intelligent machines having understood natural intelligence, but to understand natural intelligence by building intelligent machines.
As much as the computer software products are present, they lack the ability to learn independently. They have a specific code that they use to do all of their thinking. They can’t think outside their code. Machines are given a large amount of trial examples for a certain task. As they go through these trials, machines learn and adapt their strategy to achieve those goals.
Machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks can enable hardware and software robots to act dynamically, this means the hardware can be able to think on its own like outside the code. Understanding these basics can lead to many more advanced artificial intelligent topics, including artificial general intelligence, super intelligence, as well as ethics in artificial intelligence.
BENEFITS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCEError reduction: AI aids in reducing and minimising errors and work with a higher degree of accuracy and precision. Intelligent robots sent to space have metal bodies which are resistant to the harsh atmosphere of the outer space, unlike mankind.
No breaks: Machines do not need frequent breaks. They can perform multiple tasks for extended long periods of time, without getting distracted or bored; unlike humans!
Difficult exploration: Machines and robots do not wear out easily and can work more hard and responsibly, hence they can complete tasks that humans have limitations with such as ocean floor exploration, mining for oil etcImplementing machine intelligence at work, can make work smarter and more efficient. Artificial intelligence in mobile devices can predict what we are going to type and correct human spelling errors, which saves us from embarrassing situations! Work smart, not hard!
CHALLENGES FACING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.Despite the advantages associated with Artificial intelligence, there are a few challenges with it. One of them is high cost. The high cost of setting up these systems is the foremost challenge, the cost of hardware to get the computing power isn’t something small. Also the software programs associated with Artificial intelligence require frequent updating to cater for the needs of the changing environment and the need for machines to be smarter by the day. In the case of severe breakdowns, the procedure to recover lost codes and reinstating the system might require huge time and cost.
Secondly, with Artificial intelligence there’s no improvement with experience unlike when it is done by humans. Machines are unable to alter their responses to the changing environments. Care or concerns are not present in the machine intelligence dictionary. There’s nothing like working with a whole heart or passionately, they are unable to distinguish between a hardworking individual and an inefficient one.
Unemployment will also be a big challenge because of the replacement of humans with machines. This is a socially undesirable phenomenon that can lead to destruction from the creative use of the unoccupied minds. Also it may lead to a dependence on machines which in turn encourages laziness (Krishna, R )If the machines were to reach the wrong hands it would lead to destruction to humanity. Since there is no existence of emotions anything done wouldn’t affect their mind. These things cannot be sent to jails or beaten for their deeds because of lacking the sense of pain that humans possess (n.d.).
